This conceptual playground design for a private villa nestled in the hills of Florence, Italy, is inspired by the idea of a Forest Playground — a natural, imaginative environment where play emerges from the landscape itself.
At the heart of the design stands a central ramped tree structure, acting as both a landmark and a playful circulation element. This sculptural feature invites exploration at multiple levels, encouraging movement, discovery, and interaction. Surrounding it, tree-house–inspired platforms and playful, nature-driven equipment are seamlessly integrated into the terrain, fostering creativity while maintaining a strong connection to the natural setting.
The playground prioritizes organic forms, natural materials, and tactile experiences, blending into the existing landscape rather than imposing on it. Designed as a space for adventure and storytelling, the project offers children an immersive play environment that celebrates imagination, nature, and the unique spirit of the Tuscan hills.
