Situated at the edge of Jubail Island's shoreline, Le Jardin d'Écume — The Garden of Sea Spray — is a landscape conceived at the threshold between architecture and coast. The design layers a Mediterranean sensibility over a contemporary villa foundation, drawing on centuries of garden memory while remaining entirely attuned to the tropical rhythm of the island.
The garden unfolds in gradients: structured geometry close to the house gradually loosens into wilder, more organic forms as it moves toward the water. Drought-resilient Mediterranean species — olive, rosemary, stone pine — give way to salt-tolerant coastal grasses and weathered boulders, creating a transition that feels less designed and more discovered. Every boundary is softened; every edge dissolves into the next.
The result is a garden that mirrors the nature of sea spray itself — ephemeral, layered, and quietly powerful. Le Jardin d'Écume is not a boundary but a passage: a living threshold where structure softens, memory accumulates, and the coast takes over.
